Signs of Spirit
Signs of Spirit
In 2005, we became aware that even though spirit is invisible to the eye, it’s characteristics can be observed in ourselves and others.
Signs of Spirit are evidence of the existence of the unseen spirit. They are characteristics that can be observed in ourselves and others. Once known and recognized as coming from spirit, we can choose to activate and cultivate them in ourselves, thus living as spirits in daily life.
We call these characteristics “signs of spirit” because they demonstrate the presence of spirit, just as a heartbeat and breathing our “signs of life” for the body.
We have been writing first-person short stories about our experiences observiing signs of spirit in ourselves and others and also about how we intentionally use these spirit abiities in our daily lives.
Our intent in sharing these stories is to make it more kown in the world that spirit exists and exists in each and every human being in addition to all of Life. Perhaps our stories will inspire you to find these signs of spirit in yourself and others.
How I Broke My Eyeglasses
by Debra Redalia
In my world, eyeglasses are very important to me. I have an intention to be able to see without eyeglasses, but that is still in progress. I can’t read a book or computer without my eyeglasses so to do my work, I need to have my reading glasses. I have a pair in my bedroom next to the bed and another pair at my desk. My body is blind in one eye.
I also have a habit of wearing multiple pairs of glasses of various strengths for different activities. Sometimes the pair on top of my head falls off when I bend over, but I just pick them up and put them back on.
Yesterday I bent over and the pair of glasses on my head fell off and landed on a hard surface floor. The frame cracked and the lens fell out. It was one of my favorite pairs, too, with a purple frame.
I was disappointed, but I could immediately see this was no “accident.”
Many times various pairs of glasses had fallen to the floor and I hadn’t done anything to change my operating basis about carrying my glasses to protect them.
From a spirit viewpoint, I had failed to control my glasses. Without having an intention to “protect my glasses,” I had placed them in a location that was convenient for me, but precarious and dangerous for the glasses. I had created an accident waiting to happen.
It was a good lesson for me to observe how failing to use my spirit abilities led to the loss of my favorite pair of glasses. And it made me look at how this might apply to other areas of my life.
A FEW DAYS LATER...
When I went online to order another pair of glasses, I found they were having a sale and was able to buy three pairs at a substantial discount.
Meanwhile, Larry glued my broken glasses together so I could wear them in the meanwhile.
I wore them yesterday and this morning.
Just now, as I was sitting here typing, the lens fell out. And I realized that the broken frame that now wouldn't hold the lens was for my left eye, which is the blind eye! So this pair of glasses is still perfectly functional for the eye that has the ability to see.
So see, even though my glasses broke, they broke in a way that was in harmony with me. That it was a problem was only my failure to see how clever the break was to retain the lens and integrity of the frame on the side I needed.
DEBRA REDALIA, Co-Founder of Spirits Bright, became aware she was a spiritual being when her body was six years old, but didn't learn much about what that meant until she met soulmate Larry Redalia twenty-six years later. Together they have helped each other discover the characteristics of spirit and put them into practice in daily life. Since 2005, Debra and Larry have been writing Signs of Spirit stories—first person accounts of their true life adventures as spiritual belings. The are co-founders of Spirits Bright and The Signs of Spirit Project.
